Quiet Place

In my back area..there is this bush of white with a touch of yellow flowers. I haven't a clue what the bush is called..only that the bees love buzzing about with their daily work. Now all I need is a small work area to spread my craft supplies..and I could visit with the bees...

Sunbonnet Sue and Fan Pincushion

Having tons of fabric and lace scraps...along with mountains of felt, these 2 pincushions were the first I made. They were so simple and easy to make.....in my spare time, I continue to make needlecases and pincushions.

Sunbonnet Sue Embroidered Quilt Blocks

This is my favorite pattern of all...little Sunbonnet Sue has brought countless hours of enjoyment to so many generations...I just love her.
The quilt blocks are to be embroidered, set together and quilted into a baby quilt. I'm not sure if it should be done redwork, bluework or greenwork.....most likely though, it will be done in soft, soft colors befitting a Sue. I know I shouldn't start yet another project, when there are many that need just a bit of finishing touches.....*sighs..., I don't think however, that I will be able to not begin this little quilt.
I will do a once a week posting on my progress..that way, I won't be able to pick up and put down the embroidery so often...I hope !!!! We shall see.... p.s. wish me luck

Embroidered Swan Cloth with Pillow

This was found in a small shop..maybe just waiting for me to come by. :)
....and I did..lol
Apparently it's former owner had either made or bought the runner/tablescarf...and for some reason, cut it in half and added it to the front of a really pretty blue and yellow flower patterened pillow... it looks really pretty there...but I wonder...
where is the other half ???????????

Baby Sunbonnet Sue Quilt by Dosew

This baby Sunbonnet Sue quilt was made by a wonderful quilter friend..dosew. Together, we found these patterns..as you can see, she followed through with the plans to make the quilt..I have not..as yet!!!
As you can see by the beautiful work, she is not a beginner...however, she said this was an easy quilt to make and has encouraged me to get back to quilting and make one of my own.
I think this is the most wonderful quilt ever, since Sue and her friends are my favorite pattern of any pattern, and dose has made her come alive....listen closely..you can hear her giggle while playing...

Chicken Scratch Pillow Cover

This wonderful chicken scratch pillow cover/sham made by an unknown embroiderer. I wish I knew the name to give credit .......alas I do not.
The cover was found at an estate sale and quickly bought by a friend..thanks to her...it now resides in my favorite chair...and has many admirers.
